Family Picture Time!!

With the Holidays and Lauren's wedding coming up so quickly, I decided this year I would get our Christmas family pictures done EARLY!! Thanks to my amazing sister, Lauren and our soon to be brother-in-law James(and his Canon Rebel) we were able to get together on Sunday and take some fun family pictures by the pond and pool! We were prepared for Miss Brinley's sassy ways to shine through in the pictures, but luckily she did amazing! We had such a good time and are so happy with our new pictures! Here are a few that were our favorites!!

Nana's Birthday!

We planned a surprise party for my moms birthday on August 3rd. She had no idea and I love a reason to throw a party so it turned out to be a fun time with family! Caden and Brinley are very close with my family so anytime they come over its full of laughter and chaos! They are getting so big and we love watching their little personalities in action. We made Nana a confetti cake and for dinner we did homemade pizzas!mmm It was a blast!

Baby Time!!

Good Morning...This past weekend was Ashley's baby shower. The theme was Dallas Cowboys and everyone(but me) wore jerseys and shirts! Her sister Natalie did such an amazing job with all the Dallas Cowboys decorations. The Cake was AMAZING and so creative! The food was spicy and dewishious as Caden would say. I won all the games and have no idea how, but it was definitely funny, probably only to me.We had a blast and she got the most adorable things for baby Chad. I can't wait to meet him any day now!!!

Spring Time...Almost

I love this time of year, not too cold not too hot! Just perfect for outside playtime! Being a stay at home mom the winter months can be trying. Always being indoors and with the sniffles. Now that it's getting warmer day by day we took advantage of a beautiful day. Frisco has so many parks and I love that about our neighborhood. This summer will be the first time the water park next to our house is open and I can't wait to see how huge bullets of water shooting out of the ground will go with my kids but its still a new and exciting change for the summer months. You can only swing and slide so long! We love watching them explore in the outdoors. They pick flowers and unfortunately bugs too :) It's so fascinating to watch their little curiosity outdoors. We are so blessed and grateful for getting to spend these little moments with them. They are almost 2 and I cannot believe that!

There's No Place Like Home...

This past weekend we had a family wedding to attend. Scotty's grandparents had their 50th Wedding anniversary. All the family and friends gathered for a wonderful wedding. Our kids danced the night away and only left the dance floor to eat. They had a blast. Now the plane ride there and back is a TOTALLY different story. The plane ride to Missouri poor Caden was throwing up the entire time, including all over mommy. The ride back to Dallas was a night flight so Scotty and I were sure it would be smooth and calm since they would be sleepy. Boy were we wrong! They were screaming and pulling there ears the whole time...yes all 2 hours of the flight and everyone in first class looking at us like they wanted to shoot us. I am sure they got their moneys worth on that trip. It was the worst flight experience of our life and we assume it was the pressure and their ears popping but it's very possible terrible two's had something to do with it. We had never been happier to be home! There truly is no place like home

Valentine's Goodies

So the kids and I went to my moms this week to make Valentine's heart-shaped cakes. Along with Aunt Farrah's help we ALL helped in the baking process! Caden and Brinley were so excited to put sprinkles on all the cupcakes. We managed to get some photos that in the beginning were really funny. However, we used red velvet cake and let them lick the mixers and by the end we were all laughing so hard because it no longer looked like a little icing, it appeared a small animal had been consumed. Needless to say they enjoyed every minute of it!!
